Construction is set to begin on the new and improved Penfield Pavilion in Fairfield, Connecticut, after a lengthy battle concerning the funding for the project, Fairfield Patch reports. As winter begins to set in on the coastal town, crews will need outdoor infrared heaters to protect them from the stinging winds off of the Long Island Sound. The construction of a new pavilion is long overdue, town residents say. The original structure was built in 1901 and much of it was still standing. Crews recently razed the old building and they’re slated to begin work in the very near future. Crews are hoping to complete the project in time for it to be used during the summer, but in order for them to do so, they will need to be kept warm as the temperatures start to drop. Infrared heat is one of the best ways for construction companies to keep their employees warm and working efficiently. In addition to warming workers, infrared heaters are exceptionally energy efficient compared to other heating methods. Devices such at the Heat Storm typically radiate up to 86 percent of their input as energy. |
